Personal Assistant for an Active 17-Year-Old Boy

About the Position

We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a 17-year-old boy living in Borås. He is a social, humorous, and energetic young man who enjoys being active and has many different interests.

He has a great need for clarity, structure, and routines as he has autism and an intellectual disability.

In his free time, he enjoys swimming, training, playing instruments, bowling, crafting, playing games, listening to music, dancing, and more. He appreciates both fast-paced activities and calmer moments, and thrives best when daily life is clear, structured, and predictable.

Your Responsibilities

As an assistant, you will be an important support in his daily life. You will help with planning, structure, motivation, and guidance in various situations. The work also involves support during meals, personal care, activities, and social gatherings. You must be able to adapt your support based on his condition and the situation at hand, while contributing to a safe, positive, and developmental environment.

About the Positions

We are urgently seeking assistants for the following positions:

• Temporary/On-call staff
• Summer substitute

For June and July, we are looking for someone who can work Monday-Friday from 07:00-15:00. After the summer, the position will transition to on-call work with the possibility of a permanent part-time position.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a man or woman over the age of 35
• Is clear, pedagogical, and has great patience
• Has an interest in activities and enjoys being active
• Can create structure and help plan the day
• Has the ability to read situations and adapt your support according to needs
• Has good Swedish skills in both speech and writing

Experience working in personal assistance, NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses, or with young people is considered a merit.
