About the job

As a transport employee, you drive a light truck and collect all products donated to our Second Hand stores from private individuals and companies. You are often the first person our donors meet, making you an important ambassador for our operations. You also work in our warehouse where we sort incoming goods. Within our social enterprises, we work with labor integration, which means you work with participants with different prerequisites, backgrounds, and ethnicities who are far from the labor market.

Who are you?

You are a social person who enjoys working at a fast pace. Being flexible and having the ability to take initiative is a prerequisite for thriving in this role. In transport, we work both independently and together with others. You thrive with a lot of responsibility and want to grow and develop in the role of transport employee. Here, you will meet people from all corners of the globe. Therefore, it is important that you are interested in people, have the ability to invite others into the social community, and show respect for the differences among participants, colleagues, and volunteers. You share the City Mission's value system regarding the equal worth of all people and want to contribute to a more humane society.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• Experience working as a transport driver
• B-driver's license
• Training in tail-lift operation
• Good understanding of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Good physical fitness, as the work is physically demanding and involves heavy lifting

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with people in social vulnerability
• Language and cultural competence
• Forklift license
