Electrician for Urban Lighting – Contracting & New Construction

About the Role

As an electrician within our contracting division, you will work with assembly, installation, and construction work related to public lighting. The work takes place on building and contracting sites, covering everything from ground preparation to fully operational installations.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, using light crane trucks and cherry pickers (boom lifts) in your daily tasks.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible environment where work is project-based and call-out driven, meaning the pace can be high at times.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for tasks including:

• Assembly and connection of electrical cabinets
• Erection and assembly of lighting poles
• Cable pulling and laying
• Assembly of foundations
• Installation of luminaires and lighting systems
• Measurements, testing, and troubleshooting
• Commissioning of installations
• Working from cherry pickers and with light crane trucks

You ensure that work is carried out according to drawings, technical documents, and current electrical safety regulations.

Requirements

• Vocational training as an electrician or equivalent
• ECY certificate or authorization
• Completed apprenticeship
• Experience with electrical installation or contracting work
• Category B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Public lighting or street lighting
• Contracting or construction projects
• Working with crane trucks or cherry pickers
