At the Endocrinology and Diabetes Centre, we have gathered specialist resources within endocrinology and diabetes care.

We are a wonderful team working in multidisciplinary groups consisting of specialist-trained doctors and nurses, dietitians, podiatrists, healthcare administrators, social workers, assistant nurses, and physiotherapists.

The operations mainly consist of an outpatient clinic for adult patients with diabetes (primarily type 1) and other endocrine diseases, day care, dietitian clinic, diabetes clinic, diabetic foot clinic, social worker clinic, and bone density measurement. We constantly strive to develop our operations and also conduct research in various areas.

We are proud of our Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Clinic, which serves as a referral center for the entire county's patients with severe diabetic foot ulcers. You, as a podiatrist, are part of this team, along with endocrinologists, infectious disease specialists, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, orthopedic engineers, and assistant nurses.

We are now looking for a podiatrist to join the diabetes team.

Your Responsibilities

The tasks as a podiatrist with us are varied. You are one of two podiatrists, and your main work consists of responsibility for your own patient clinic, including foot assessments and annual check-ups, information provision, and foot care. The work involves both planned activities and more acute interventions, such as urgent wound checks. The role also includes acting as a coordinator once a week to plan and participate in the Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Clinic.

You work independently but with support from the team.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a specialized podiatrist with a basic education as an assistant nurse or alternatively as a podiatrist (primary degree).

We would prefer that you have previous experience from the profession and preferably further education in diabetes and/or wound care.

You are self-motivated, flexible, and communicative, preferably with good computer skills. You put the patient at the center, and we would like you to be someone who contributes to a positive work climate and sees the value in collaborating with others. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities; with us, it is just as important to contribute to the work climate and development work as it is to be skilled in your profession.
