Ottobock Care is one of Sweden's largest orthopedic technical operations with clinics in 20 locations across Sweden, and together forms part of Ottobock, one of the world's leading suppliers in orthopedic technology. We receive patients via referral as well as private individuals in need of prostheses, orthoses, seating aids, and orthopedic shoes or inserts. In the County of Jönköping, operations are currently run at all three hospitals: Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, and Värnamo Hospital. It is a large region that works in many team operations together with the region to provide patients with the best solution. Currently, the team consists of 38 employees.

About the Role

As an Orthopedic Technical Patient Receptionist with us, you work to improve the quality of life for people by enhancing their mobility and independence. Your main tasks involve meeting with patients to assess, adapt, and fit aids according to our prescription process. Initially, you will work with aids in the form of orthopedic shoes and inserts, with the opportunity to later build on your knowledge with additional aids adapted to needs, competence, and interest.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Jönköping. Working hours are according to schedule, daytime. Start date is by agreement. We have a collective agreement, which means you are covered by collective agreement insurances. Travel for work purposes occurs. You also have the opportunity to participate in our internal trainee program regarding work with orthopedic shoes and inserts.

About You

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education and experience in healthcare-related work and/or a completed education in orthopedic technology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with shoes or inserts is meritorious. You master both Swedish and English and have good computer skills. A B-class driver's license is meritorious.

In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being receptive and respectful, keeping the group's best interests in mind. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. When a problem arises, you focus your energy on finding solutions and maintain your focus on the goal.
