At Kungssmide, it is the people, craftsmanship, and everyday reliability that make the difference. We are now looking for a Foreman for our forging workshop in Väröbacka. This is a role for you who have experience from workshops, welding, or maintenance, and who thrives in a responsible and coordinating role close to production.

Kungssmide was founded in 1991 and today has 21 employees. Kungssmide is a subcontractor in the heavy forging segment with a focus on the concrete, pulp, and nuclear power industries. The company also has its own service organization for on-site installation and maintenance for customers. Kungssmide has an annual turnover of approx. 35 MSEK.

What does the role offer?

As a Foreman at Kungssmide, you will become an important part of the daily production routine. You will work closely with the team in the workshop and have a central role in planning, coordinating, prioritizing, and ensuring that work follows set goals regarding time and quality. To succeed in the role, you will collaborate closely with the site manager, production planner, and finance department. Your role is right in the middle of the operations. Close to the people, production, and what is happening here and now.

Among other things, you will:

• Plan and distribute the daily work, both in the workshop and for assembly at customer sites
• Ensure that jobs are completed on time and with the right quality
• Support colleagues in their daily work
• Act as the contact between production and planning
• Contribute to structure, order, and a good workflow

Initially, personnel responsibility and larger questions regarding budget and sales remain with the site manager. In the long term, the role can develop for you if you wish to take more responsibility, but the most important thing here and now is a secure and present leader in everyday life. You will work weekdays, Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, based out of the premises in Väröbacka.

Who are you?

To be the person we are looking for, we believe you come with a background from welding, workshops, or maintenance. Either you have worked as a team leader, foreman, senior fitter, or want to take the step into a responsible role. You have good system proficiency, can read drawings, and calculate dimensions and tolerances. Furthermore, you handle Swedish fluently in speech and writing, with knowledge of English. You have a B driving license, where a forklift or crane certificate is considered an advantage.
