The Army Workshops (MvE) is a department within the Army Staff that performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and air base equipment, and delivers technical system support. This involves maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection.

You will belong to Army Workshop South, which operates in Revingehed, Ronneby, Karlskrona, and Tofta. Together, we are approximately 200 employees.

Main Responsibilities

As a Weapons Technician, you will primarily work with preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs of weapons and optics.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Two- or three-year technical upper secondary education or equivalent as assessed by the employer.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • General computer skills.

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards work and operations.

Merits

  • Experience with maintenance of weapons, optics, or fine mechanics.
  • Relevant experience working as a technician or mechanic in a similar field.
  • Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces and its procedures is desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Forklift license.
  • Category C or CE driver's license.

Other Information

  • Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period.
  • Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours – shift work may apply.
  • Work location: Ronneby.
  • Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

The work also involves requirements for travel and duty, both domestic and international.

This is a civilian position.

Work with hardening plastics may occur at the workshop.
