Are you a configuration management expert driven by building structures from the ground up? We are now looking for a Senior Configuration Manager for a comprehensive and strategic assignment with one of Sweden's most important players in critical infrastructure.

About the role

Our client is embarking on an exciting journey where approximately 3,000 system requirements are to be moved from manual handling to a structured environment in DOORS. As a Senior Configuration Manager at our client, you will step into an environment with a "blank slate" to structure and implement processes for baselines and change management.

The role involves you being the architect behind a modern CM process, connecting business needs and functional requirements with actual operations. Your day-to-day consists of approximately 70% strategic work, guidelines, and change management, and 30% operational work in the DOORS tool, focusing on building and verifying new structures.

Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Configuration Manager, you will lead and implement strategies for requirements management and configuration management. This includes designing processes, structuring system requirements in DOORS, and driving change initiatives to establish a modern and traceable systems development process.

  • Process Design: Develop and implement processes for baselines, change management (CCB), and traceability from the ground up.
  • Information Architecture: Structure and organize large volumes of requirements (3,000+) in DOORS to ensure full traceability.
  • Change Management: Act as a bridge between market, product, and technology. You will train and guide the organization in the new way of working.
  • Strategic Advisory: Establish guidelines for how baselines are to be realized with suppliers in cycles of 1–2 years.
  • Tool Ownership: Responsible for setting up, testing, and administering the structure in DOORS.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has senior experience as a CM Architect: Documented experience in designing and implementing CM structures (baselines, change management, version control) from scratch.
  • Requirements Management: Expertise in structuring large volumes of requirements (3,000+) and establishing traceability matrices.
  • Tool Expertise in DOORS: Where you have previously built up structures, modules, and links in the tool (advantageous if you also have experience with administration).
  • Change Management: Documented ability to drive change management in large organizations. You are accustomed to driving projects from vision to implementation.
  • Language: Fluent Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience with System Lifecycle Management (traceability into operations/maintenance).
  • Ability to see how requirements data is integrated with other systems (Information Architecture).
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 15288 or similar frameworks for Systems Engineering.
  • Experience from regulated industries with high demands for traceability (e.g., defense, automotive, aviation, or infrastructure).

  • Communicative and pedagogical: You can explain complex CM processes in a simple way and have the ability to be receptive and bring the organization along on the journey towards a new way of working.
  • Intellectually curious: You quickly get up to speed with new technical systems and contexts.
