We want to give our guests a much greater experience than just the meal itself, so we are looking for someone who has a passion for service, shows genuine care for guests and colleagues, has a strong interest in food & drink, and enjoys working meticulously and organized - even under stress.
You have previous experience as a sous chef, or you are currently working as a chef and feel ready for new challenges. With the confidence in your professional role, you find it easy to plan, train, and lead.
You have a good grasp of classic Swedish cooking, but enjoy giving the plate a fresh twist.
Your ability to work at a fast pace and deliver large volumes comes from your personal drive and commitment. High on your priority list is your ambition to create a pleasant working environment and work with color, form, flavor, and consistency.
Fiskhuset in Torekov consists of a smokehouse, delicatessen, and dining area.
The job is primarily operational, which means you will be involved in planning, training, leading, and cooking/producing food for the menu's wide range of dishes and products from the sea. In the delicatessen and fish counter, there is a large assortment of fresh fish, seafood, ready-made dishes, delicacies, smoked products, pickles, and accompaniments that need to be produced daily.
Your tasks also include creating and maintaining efficient work routines, quality assurance of products and dishes, and self-control work.
As a Sous Chef, you are a key player at Fiskhuset, and you will be involved in making decisions, presenting new ideas, and planning the season's activities.
At Fiskhuset, collaboration is key, so we often work across boundaries, are flexible, supportive, and work closely with other departments.
We believe that you are an open and *very* social person, who finds it easy to talk and is easy to talk to, as we have an open kitchen with a food bar.
We develop and work together all the time to make it easy for guests and employees to succeed.
Fiskhuset is open from Easter until the end of September, and we hire continuously based on seasonal needs. Your working hours will vary depending on the season.
