Backafallsbyn is a hotel and conference facility with the associated distillery Spirit of Hven on the beautiful island of Hven. We are known for our whiskey and beverage training as well as a wide range of drinks. We are now looking for a service-oriented head waiter who is passionate about guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Your work consists of lunch service, à la carte service, festive days, weddings, as well as bar work. You are an operational head waiter and part of the team that takes care of the guests. You organize restaurant tasks, arrange table placements, but also serve at the tables and introduce new staff to their tasks.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with good experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. You are very service-oriented, organized, and actively work to ensure that guests enjoy their time with us. You should be able to handle stress and be independent, with the ability to take orders as well as make your own decisions.

You have good beverage knowledge, primarily about wine but preferably also a good understanding of whiskey.

It is an advantage if you have sommelier training or other beverage education and have hotel and restaurant training. You master Swedish and English well; if you also speak Danish, we see this as a plus.

Other important information

The position is full-time. Employment start: Mid-March - October, possibly longer or by agreement. You will be placed at our facility on the beautiful island of Hven. Accommodation options are available at the facility. Weekend work.
