At our organization, you can work in various departments – ordinary housing, care and nursing homes, short-term units, palliative teams, ambulatory teams, night units, and functional support. Within functional support, you work with patients who have congenital or acquired disabilities and live in housing with special support and services. Many also participate in daily activities at day centers. The City of Gothenburg is divided into four city districts: Hisingen, Sydväst, Centrum, and Nordost. In your application, you can easily specify which area you are interested in. Based on needs, your application is then forwarded to the responsible unit manager.

Your duties as a nurse include planning and structuring care for individual patients and their relatives. You assess and perform medical treatment and nursing interventions, as well as follow up and document according to current legislation and quality registers. As a nursing student, you support and relieve the unit's registered nurses with tasks delegated to you, such as sample collection, wound dressings, medication management, tube and PEG handling, and catheter care. You collaborate in interprofessional teams and always have colleagues to consult when needed.

We offer a good introduction with mentorship and ongoing guidance. Working hours are primarily during the day, but some work is scheduled during evenings and weekends. There is also the option to choose to work only nights in one of our four night teams. We offer varied work where you have the opportunity to meet people with different needs at various ages. Our offer to you:

• In addition to base salary, we offer a wage supplement during weeks 26–33:
  • 12,000 SEK per month for registered nurses
  • 3,000 SEK per month for nursing students (with approved courses through semester 4)

The supplement applies to full-time work. For part-time work, the supplement is paid in proportion to the employment rate.

• For hourly temporary staff, the individually set hourly wage is increased by:
  • 72.72 SEK per hour for registered nurses
  • 18.18 SEK per hour for nursing students

About you

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse or a nursing student and have passed all courses through semester 4 (when the vacation period starts) in the nursing program. Experience in healthcare, the profession, or our areas of operation is meritorious, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates. A B-category driver's license is meritorious and necessary in most areas as you will travel to different patients by car.
