Location: Alvesta
Employment: Permanent (start as soon as possible after agreement)
Are you a technician who enjoys tinkering, troubleshooting, and truly understanding how things work? Do you want to work in a modern workshop with advanced machinery and a tight-knit team? We are now looking for a Workshop Technician for Wirtgen in Alvesta, where you will become a key part of our continued growth. We have sold many machines and now need to strengthen our workshop to meet the demand, both regarding service, repairs, and customer-specific adaptations of new machines. Here you will work closely with colleagues in an environment where knowledge is shared, ideas are encouraged, and you have the opportunity to develop over time.
Your responsibilities
As a Workshop Technician, you will primarily work on-site at our workshop in Alvesta, although some customer visits may occur. You will work with a wide range of machinery within construction and road maintenance, with a focus on:
- Asphalt pavers from VÖGELE
- Millers from Wirtgen
- Rollers from HAMM
- Crushing and screening plants from KLEEMANN
In this role, you will not only replace components; you will troubleshoot, repair, and address problems in depth. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing machinery in the workshop
- Implementing customer-specific adaptations and upgrades for new machines
- Contributing to the work on new machine models through documentation, photos, and technical data
- Contacting customers via phone regarding service matters
- Traveling to customer sites for shorter assignments when needed
Your profile
We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy working practically with others. You have:
- Experience working with vehicles, construction machinery, industry, or similar
- Good technical understanding in areas such as mechanics, electrical systems, or hydraulics
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- A valid driver's license (Category B)
As a person, you are solution-oriented, detail-oriented, and thrive in a role where you take responsibility. You are curious and appreciate understanding how things work, not just swapping parts.
What we offer you
At Wirtgen, you get more than just a job; you become part of a team where technology, community, and development go hand in hand. You become part of the John Deere corporation, where Wirtgen is responsible for the entire chain, from development and manufacturing to sales and aftermarket. This gives you access to deep technical expertise, short decision-making paths, and the right conditions in the form of support, spare parts, and a stable organization to grow within. We offer:
- A modern workshop in Alvesta with a high technical level
- A tight-knit team with long experience (several colleagues have been here for a long time)
- Opportunity to work with both repairs and developmental customer adaptations
- Thorough introduction and continuous competence development
- A workday with shared breakfast together with colleagues from both the office and the workshop
If you haven't had a female service manager before, now is the time. Nea, Service Manager, says: "I lead a department where individual thoughts and ideas are significant and decisions can be made on-site with our customers. We are open to change and want to get better and do better."
Additional information
- Working hours: 07:00–16:00 (joint workshop meeting every morning)
- Start: As soon as possible, according to agreement
