Älvdalen Municipality is now looking for dedicated summer substitutes for our operations within care and social services, as well as the catering unit, in Älvdalen, Särna, and Idre.

We are looking for someone who

• is service-oriented and enjoys working with people
• has a positive attitude and is flexible
• has relevant experience or education for the position you are applying for
• is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
• has basic computer skills, as welfare technology is a natural part of the work.

Work within Care and Social Services

Here you can work within Home Help, Special Housing, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), or Housing Support in Idre, Särna, or Älvdalen.

You will work with

• providing support, guidance, and care to the elderly and people with disabilities
• assisting with personal care
• documentation and medication management
• planning and carrying out daily activities.

To work with us in care

• a B-class driver's license is required if you wish to work in Home Help
• you must be 18 years old (with the exception if you are studying the Care and Nursing program)
• experience in care work is an advantage.

Work at the Catering Unit

Here you can work in our kitchens in either Idre, Särna, or Älvdalen.

You will work with

• making salads and cooking meals
• receiving goods deliveries
• dishwashing, cleaning, and other common kitchen tasks
• conducting self-control checks
• driving the food truck.

To work with us in catering

• you must be able to work efficiently and follow hygiene regulations
• experience in kitchen work is an advantage.

Good to know

When you submit your application, you will be asked to specify which location you wish to work at, as well as the type of work you are interested in.

To work in our operations, you must provide a clean certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record).

The positions are for summer substitutes on a full- or part-time basis with fixed-term employment, where both monthly salary and hourly wage may apply.

There are good opportunities for continued work even after the summer.

Working hours are irregular and vary between day, evening, and weekends. In some operations, night shifts and on-call duty with sleeping arrangements are included in the schedule.
