We are currently looking for an experienced, self-sufficient surveying technician for permanent employment via direct recruitment with one of our popular clients in the surveying and construction industry in Stockholm.

Role Description: Surveying Consultant – Infrastructure and Construction

As a surveying consultant with us, you will play a central role in the project lifecycle. Your work serves as the link between project concept and reality, acting as the hub between the site manager and the work crew. With your aptitude for practical solutions, positive attitude, and problem-solving mindset, you will become a key person in the projects you drive from pre-planning, through production, to project completion.

Main responsibilities include:

• Reviewing drawings and technical documentation prior to project start.
• Ongoing surveying support during the production phase.
• Control surveying and control calculations.
• Responsibility for quantity take-off, which is a crucial part of the project's success.
• Close collaboration with the site manager and the cost control department regarding economic matters and project agreements.

Examples of current projects:

• Östermalmstorg: The square is being renovated into a vibrant, safe, and accessible city square that preserves its historical values. This is a detailed planning project where we are under close scrutiny, and communication with the client, residents, business owners, and visitors is just as important as the production results.
• Separatorn 1: A new office building with an innovation center that Skanska is building on behalf of Fabege. A park landscape is being created on the roof of the innovation center – a challenge at heights that require good coordination and efficient logistics.
• Bromma Handelsplats: Expansion and trimming measures to facilitate traffic flow following an analysis of traffic patterns. Work includes, among other things, laying two new traffic lanes and relocating existing pedestrian crossings in a busy area.

Qualifications and Experience

Formal requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a surveying consultant.
• Experience with quantity take-off, preferably from AMA/MER/RA Construction standards.
• Good knowledge of SBG Geo or Topocad. AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of instruments from Leica or Trimble.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Good proficiency in Swedish (required) and English.

Advantageous experience and knowledge in:

• Production surveying for infrastructure, construction, water/sewage, electricity, and detailed planning.
• Production surveying for building construction.
• Scanning and/or drone surveying as well as data processing.
• Responsibility for quantity take-off of contracts valued between 10–100 million SEK.
• Bill of quantities with technical description, AMA Construction and MER Construction standards for quantity take-off.
• Relevant technical education (Civil Engineering degree or equivalent).

Other requirements and wishes:

• Good computer skills.
• Residing in the Stockholm area.
