About the position

Our client MaserFrakt is one of Sweden's leading companies in machinery and transport brokerage, with an extensive network of partners, vehicles, and machinery. Right now, we are looking for a temporary Transport Manager for MaserFrakt in Gävle. In this role, you will become part of an engaged team that together solves customers' transport needs in the best possible way. Your journey with MaserFrakt begins with a thorough introduction where you will work alongside an experienced colleague, gradually becoming more independent with the team as close support. You will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at MaserFrakt.

We are looking for someone who can start in May and work until August. The position is full-time during the summer with good opportunities to work extra hours if needed alongside your studies.

Responsibilities

As a Transport Manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up on the company's transports. You ensure that goods are delivered on time, to the right place, and in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining good communication with customers, drivers, and other partners. The role also includes administration, documentation, and continuous optimization of transport flows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

In this role, you will work with:

  • Acting as the hub by coordinating cooperation between the company's customers, drivers, haulage owners, and employees.
  • Finding optimal solutions to streamline transports through strategic planning and ensuring that all deliveries reach their destination according to schedule.
  • Handling incoming inquiries and providing service and support via both email and phone.
  • Contributing to development by continuously working on improvements to the department's routines and ways of working.

We are looking for you who

  • Are available to start in May and can work the entire summer period until August
  • Have previous work experience in service; experience or education in logistics or transport is also an asset
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as it is required in daily work
  • Have basic knowledge of the Office package, especially Word and Excel
  • Have good knowledge of the local geography

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a solution-oriented and flexible person with the ability to perform well even in stressful situations. We see that you are service-oriented and enjoy working in close collaboration with others. The role requires a high sense of responsibility and the ability to work structured with all the different parts of transport planning.
