Do you want to be part of an expanding, world-leading company manufacturing elevators for the construction and industrial sectors? Then you should apply for a job with us!

About Alimak

Alimak Group Sweden AB, located in Skellefteå, was founded in 1948. The company is today the world's leading manufacturer of rack-and-pinion elevators. The operation in Skellefteå has approximately 350 employees and is part of Alimak Group. We offer a developing work environment where quality, technology, and safety are at the center.

As an employee at Alimak, you can contribute, influence, and make a difference by meeting our customers' needs with the goal of exceeding their expectations. We offer an environment where problem-solving and collaboration go hand in hand. As an employee at Alimak, you become an important part of a community where technical interest is shared, and you have the opportunity to grow as an individual. The company also offers a range of benefits:

  • Opportunity for flexible working hours
  • Reimbursement for dental care/vaccination costs
  • Reimbursement for gym membership costs
  • Access to occupational health services
  • Access to a mountain cabin

Job Responsibilities

Together with the rest of the service technician team, you will work with preventive maintenance, service, and installation of Alimak's products. Assignments are primarily carried out at various industries and construction sites in Sweden and abroad. The majority of your working time will be spent servicing construction and industrial elevators, but new installations and special projects also occur. As a technician, you may also become involved in the development and production of our products. The work includes some administrative tasks, such as handling service protocols and documentation for invoicing.

As a technician on-site, you are the one who knows the facility and the customer best; therefore, it is natural that you drive upselling in the form of spare parts, service, and modifications of existing facilities, as well as new sales. You will not be alone in this, as you have a sales organization for support, but you contribute to identifying needs and opportunities.

After some time, you will be assigned your own facilities where you will perform recurring service assignments. As part of this, a large part of your duties involves customer contact, such as scheduling service, communicating continuously during the work, and following up on the results afterwards.

The position has a fixed location, but longer service and installation assignments in other locations occur, which may involve travel and overnight stays. Since we have international customers, travel abroad may also be relevant, including to the Bahamas, Cyprus, Estonia, and Latvia.

Upon starting the job, you will undergo several introductory trainings, including at our production facility in Skellefteå, where you will gain in-depth knowledge of our products.

You find it easy to absorb information, both verbally and in writing, and work analytically with a focus on safety. You see technically complex challenges as an opportunity to develop and deepen your competence.
