Role Overview

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager / Test Project Manager to support a large-scale, multi-year transformation program within the insurance domain. The program involves multiple parallel initiatives and cross-functional delivery streams.

This role blends hands-on operational test management within agile delivery environments with strategic oversight of program-wide testing frameworks, including test processes, environments, data, and automation.

The ideal candidate will be capable of managing daily testing activities while also shaping long-term testing strategies and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Test Management

• Oversee and coordinate system and user acceptance testing activities across program milestones and epics.
• Plan and align test execution cycles with multiple teams and delivery streams.
• Facilitate daily coordination meetings with business testers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage dependencies, batch processes, data requirements, and vendor inputs.
• Ensure seamless synchronization between various testing phases and stakeholders.

Strategic & Program-Level Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the overall test strategy and roadmap for the program.
• Define requirements for test environments and collaborate with infrastructure teams for provisioning.
• Establish and optimize processes for test planning, execution, defect tracking, and traceability.
• Ensure availability and consistency of test data aligned with production scenarios.
• Drive alignment of test data and environments across systems and teams.
• Contribute to the development and scaling of test automation frameworks.

Experience Requirements

• Extensive experience in test management or test project management within complex environments.
• Proven track record of leading testing efforts in large transformation programs.
• Experience working in large organizations with complex system landscapes.
• Strong background in managing external vendors and suppliers.
• Significant experience within the insurance domain.

Additional Preferred Experience

• Experience with implementation of enterprise systems (preferably Lumera or INCA).
• Exposure to mainframe environments.
• Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks and processes.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, security, scalability).
• Experience in test environment strategy and test data management.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Swedish – Fluent (mandatory).
• English – Professional proficiency.

• Ability to work in a hybrid setup with partial on-site presence in Stockholm.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
