During the summer of 2026, a number of young people from the district will be offered summer jobs within the district's own maintenance of parks and green areas.

For many, this will be their first work experience, and as a summer supervisor, you will be an important role model and support for them.

We are now looking for an engaged summer supervisor for assignments in park and green area maintenance in Bromma. As a summer supervisor, you contribute to a meaningful and active summer for young people, where together you contribute to the long-term sustainable circular work to create a safe, pleasant, and green environment for Bromma's residents. Your role

As a summer supervisor, you play a central role in supporting and guiding summer youth in their work. This includes participating practically in outdoor work alongside the young people. You plan the workday, distribute tasks, instruct, guide, and motivate the youth. Since the work is outdoors, it is important that you enjoy working in all weather conditions.

The role of summer supervisor will last throughout the summer. Bromma City District Administration is responsible for the maintenance and care of several parks and green areas in Bromma. As a summer supervisor in park maintenance, you will guide the youth in their work to keep our parks and green areas clean and beautiful while also gaining knowledge and tasks related to the environment and climate. Your tasks will include litter picking, weeding, playground maintenance, and other park work such as painting park furniture and efforts to preserve and strengthen nature's biodiversity. We are looking for supervisors who can work throughout the entire period from June 22 to August 7, i.e., weeks 26 to 32.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed high school education
  • Driver's license B
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Can work the entire period weeks 26-32

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with and supervising youth groups
  • Post-secondary or ongoing post-secondary education in fields such as parks, gardening, forestry, landscape, or construction, or other education that the employer deems suitable for the position
  • Knowledge and experience in gardening/park work or similar work

We are looking for someone who collaborates easily with others and is driven to create a cohesive team. You are also action-oriented, solution-focused, and can adapt to new situations. You are good at structuring and planning your and the group's work and enjoy order and tidiness. You are pedagogical and can easily adapt your communication style to reach the youth. You are an engaged supervisor who is good at motivating, guiding, and has the ability to bring out the best in each individual. We highly value your personal qualities and place great importance on your motivation and engagement for the position.

Recruitment process in brief

To work for the City of Stockholm with children, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities, including work in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal and suspicion register. For work with LSS interventions for children with disabilities, you must submit an extract from the Police's criminal record. You order the extract yourself and it should not be older than six months, or one year for work with children, from the date of issuance.
