Nowadays, we operate throughout Sweden and occasionally in the Nordic region. We perform all types of work in and around water, such as excavation, suction, and environmental dredging. Our divers renovate power plants, bridges, quays, ports, etc. Since October 2023, STDG is owned by the Marcon group. More information about us can be found at www.stdg.se (http://www.stdg.se).

We are now looking for a Project Manager with a temporary assignment as Site Manager at Svenska Tungdykargruppen.

🚀 Are you ready to lead projects that support what others take for granted and strengthen society's infrastructure - beneath the surface?

Are you ready to lead projects that support what others take for granted and want to strengthen society's infrastructure beneath the surface? Svenska Tungdykargruppen (STDG) is growing, and we are now looking for a project manager who, in addition to operational project management, will also step into a designated assignment as site manager. Since we perform most of our work within Svealand, southern, and central Norrland, we believe you will be based in that area.

About the position

As a project manager, you have overall responsibility for technically complex projects in aquatic environments. In the role of temporary site manager, your responsibilities will expand to include overall leadership for your work area. You report directly to the CEO.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Results and financial responsibility: You are responsible for the results of your current work area and your projects. You actively work with project follow-up, forecasting, and operate within the established budget.
  • Personnel responsibility: You are responsible for directly subordinate staff, which includes performance reviews, work environment, and personnel planning.
  • Project management: You plan, lead, and follow up projects from start to finish. You keep the team, timelines, and technical solutions together in close collaboration with site management and diving teams.
  • Business development and procurement: You are responsible for ongoing reviews of current procurements and planning of new projects, as well as managing customer contacts and changes to the scope of work.

About you

We are looking for a confident leader with experience in construction, civil engineering, or water supply. For this combined role, the following is required:

  • Experience in project follow-up and forecasting in construction projects.
  • Ability to switch between strategic responsibility and operational work on-site.
  • A strong technical interest and a structured, solution-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of underwater construction and/or contracts in marine environments.
  • Experience in leading and communicating with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Experience in contract law (AMA; AB; ABT).

STDG is part of the Marcon group, and we are a leading player in diving, dredging, underwater pipelines, and other marine contracts. We are certified according to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, and we work with safety, technology, and quality in every detail. With us, you will have a varied job – where every project is unique.

🚀 What we offer:

  • A developing and responsible assignment with short decision-making paths.
  • Work in an exciting industry with unique projects in Sweden's aquatic environments.
  • A safe working environment in a certified company with high-quality standards.
  • Professional development, knowledge exchange, and good opportunities for support within the group.
  • A close-knit team consisting of site manager, project engineer, KMA, and support functions.
  • Good benefits.
