We are looking for a school librarian for Vasagymnasiet/Department of Education.

The library at Vasagymnasiet maintains a high standard and is located in the heart of the school, serving as an educational resource for both teachers and students. Vasagymnasiet is a smaller high school with 360 students and seven national programs.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the school's excellent library as well as the purchase and selection of media and digital services.

The work involves dialogue and pedagogical meetings with students and teachers. You will, among other things, work to inspire students' reading, support students' graduation projects, and teach media and information literacy as well as source criticism (MIK).

You are also the web editor for Vasagymnasiet's website at Arboga municipality. You will also be involved in the school's marketing efforts, including through social media.

Qualifications

We want you to have:

• a degree in library and information science
• good IT skills
• experience working as a web manager in Sitevision
• experience and knowledge of the library systems Koha
• good pedagogical skills.

• genuinely engaged in the living conditions, daily lives, and perspectives of young people and enjoy interacting with them.

Experience working as a school librarian at a high school is an asset.
