The home care service of Vaggeryd municipality is located in Vaggeryd and Skillingaryd. The Skillingaryd home care service has recently undergone a reorganization by dividing the operation into two groups. The goal is to create a more sustainable work environment through smaller work groups, increased leadership presence, and even better support for our employees. Collaboration is an important part of the work, and we help each other both within the home care groups and between the locations.

In 2022, we started a working hours project that means the full-time measure was reduced to 34 hours/week with maintained full-time salary. We will continue this project into 2025. In addition to a lower full-time measure, a good collaborative climate, and a varied, meaningful job, we also offer wellness benefits and actively work with competence development, digitalization, and improvements in the operation.

We are now looking for engaged nursing assistants who want to be part of the journey and contribute to providing our users with safe care of high quality – every day.

Job Responsibilities

Your workday starts in modern premises in the middle of Skillingaryd where you pick up your phone and see what your workday looks like. You travel to the users, either by car, bike, or on foot. At the users' homes, you motivate, help, and support the individual based on their individual needs and wishes. This may involve medical interventions, personal care, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You document interventions and events in our operational system Combine and you have contact with the users' relatives. The work is often independent, but you have helpful colleagues just a call away. In your role, you also collaborate with home healthcare, case managers, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or has previous experience working in home care. Since the work requires good communication and documentation, we expect you to master Swedish in both spoken and written form. It is a requirement that you have a B driver's license and that you can cycle.

As a person, you are responsible, have a good empathetic ability, and are good at creating and maintaining relationships. You are service-oriented, have a positive attitude, and can handle rapid changes in the work. During your work shift, you have a mobile phone as a work tool where you see the interventions you need to perform. Therefore, we would like you to be interested in and comfortable with technical solutions and welfare technology, as well as have computer skills. You will, of course, receive training in these solutions during your introduction. We offer both theoretical and practical introduction that is individually tailored based on your previous experiences. We place great importance on personal suitability.
