We are currently seeking night staff for the short-term accommodation Strömgården.

Strömgården is a short-term accommodation for children up to 18 years old with intellectual disabilities.

Work can also take place at other short-term accommodations within LSS. The position involves working awake nights.

Responsibilities

To provide support and service according to the individual needs and wishes of the users according to implementation plans. You perform everyday, planned support measures and activities together with the user. The support measures should promote the user's integrity, participation, and are carried out with respect for the user's self-determination. The user's needs should be at the center, and the person's views should be actively considered. The user should receive support and the right to decide over their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff.

The responsibilities also include rehabilitation, IT-based documentation and administration, as well as delegated health and medical tasks.

We are looking for someone with experience and interest in working with children and young people, who is flexible, accustomed to working with a low-arousal approach, and has a pedagogical mindset.

During the night, other tasks may also be added, such as cleaning, laundry, food orders, etc.

Qualifications

Care and nursing program or another equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer, as well as good computer skills.

Experience working with children and young people with intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric diagnoses is an advantage.

You are attentive, reflective, and have a low-arousal approach. You have a pedagogical perspective and are clear in your communication. You can adapt your working methods to the individual and situation and have a respectful approach with empathetic ability. You are good at collaborating with others but should also be able to take responsibility and work independently.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Ability to speak and write Swedish.

Driver's license is required. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.

For work with children and young people up to 18 years old, a criminal record extract is required, and for new hires from September 1, 2025, an extract from the criminal record is required for all new hires within the care administration in Värnamo Municipality.

Care Administration

We are responsible for our elderly, people with disabilities, and the municipality's home healthcare. The administration also works with rehabilitation and prevention so that our citizens can live a good life throughout their lives.
