We are now looking for an engaged and driven Dementia Care Developer who wants to strengthen and develop our work to provide people with dementia a safe, dignified, and meaningful everyday life.

As a Dementia Care Developer, you will be a key person in ensuring high quality in the care of individuals with cognitive impairment. You will work closely with employees, managers, relatives, and external actors — always with the individual's best interests in focus.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead and drive development work in dementia care in accordance with national guidelines.
• Support units in implementing evidence-based practices and activities.
• Serve as a knowledge support for employees and managers in matters concerning individuals with cognitive impairment.
• Plan and conduct training initiatives in communication, person-centered care, and support for relatives.
• Quality assure and follow up on routines, care plans, and working methods.
• Contribute to the development of dementia-friendly environments and activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education in dementia, specialist nursing assistant with a focus on dementia and geriatric psychiatry.
• Advanced competence in dementia care — preferably training in BPSD, trained Star Instructor via the Swedish Dementia Center.
• Experience in development work or supervision in care and nursing.
• Good ability to lead processes, inspire, and create engagement.
• Very good communication skills and a sense of person-centered interaction.
