Emergency Services

The Emergency Services belong to the municipal executive administration in Smedjebacken Municipality. We have a fire station on Kyrkogatan in Smedjebacken. There, three employees work during the day with preventive activities, administration, materials, and vehicles.

We have an agreement with Rescue in Cooperation, RiS, which is a rescue region that provides command leadership and support during operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Join the standby force every 4th week.
• The standby is 24/7 for 7 days (168 hours).
• The first rescue vehicle must leave the station within 5 minutes. That is, you must travel from your main workplace or residence to the fire station, change into your protective clothing, and take your place in the fire truck within 5 minutes.
• Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.

Qualifications

We want you to:

• Be healthy and in good physical condition
• Have a driver's license for a car and preferably hold a C driver's license
• Live and work within a maximum of 5 minutes travel time from the fire station
• Have an interest in helping people in need

Meritorious:

• Experience in similar job responsibilities
• Medical experience
• C driver's license and other qualifications, e.g., driving license, chainsaw, lift, etc.

Personal Qualities

Ability to collaborate in a team and be stress-resistant.
