Environmental Worker Water and Gas
Do you want to make a real difference every day? At Ragn-Sells, that’s exactly what we do, regardless of your position. We are a family business in the third generation with experience behind us and a focus on tomorrow's innovations. With us, you get to help shape a circular future where we reduce the need to extract new raw materials and instead use what we already have – over and over again.
At the facility in Häradsudden, you will be part of a culture where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a given. Here, around 75 people work, of which about 45 are environmental workers and the rest are office staff. Ragn-Sells offers a non-prestigious work environment where you have the opportunity to influence, develop, and be part of the journey towards a more sustainable future.
Do you want to work practically, be outdoors, have fun with colleagues, and at the same time make a significant contribution to the environment? As an Environmental Worker for water and gas with us in Häradsudden, Norrköping, you will be an important part of the transition to a more sustainable and circular economy.
About the Role
At Häradsudden, we treat 200,000 m3 of leachate in a treatment plant consisting of ultrafiltration, chemical precipitation, and flocculation in flotation, as well as biological treatment in soil-plant systems. The facility is operated daily by our own staff, but we also have close cooperation with external suppliers of water treatment services. Through gas turbines and a gas boiler, we also convert landfill gas into self-produced electricity and heat, which is used in our processes.
In your daily work, you will for example:
- Work with the operation, supervision, and maintenance of facilities for water and landfill gas
- Conduct controls, measurements, sampling, and reporting according to routines
- Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and customers on site
- Contribute to improvements in work routines and safety work
We are looking for
You don’t need to know everything from day one – we will teach you a lot on site. But we see that you:
- Have a high school education, preferably in technology, electricity, industry, environment, or similar
- Have at least 1-2 years of work experience, preferably from operations, process industry, water, energy, or waste
- Enjoy physical outdoor work year-round
- Are meticulous, safety-conscious, and like order and tidiness
- Have an easy time collaborating and communicating in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Have a B driver's license (preferable if you have a forklift/loader license)
- Preferable if you are previously certified for water sampling
- Preferable if you have previously encountered biogas and/or landfill gas in your work life
- Ongoing maintenance is a large part of the role, it is preferable if you have a technical/mechanical interest
- Preferable if you are previously trained in working in confined spaces and fall protection
Why Work With Us?
Here you get a job where you can actually see the results of what you do – in a cleaner environment, better resource management, and smarter recycling. We offer:
- Full-time employment, Monday to Friday with scheduled working hours
- Market-adjusted salary according to collective agreements
- Pension and insurance according to agreements
- Wellness allowance and investment in a sustainable workday
- Competence development and internal academy with clear development paths
- An inclusive culture with great colleagues, team spirit, and open communication
