About the unit:

The Logistics Unit Stockholm is a unit at the Life Guards that supports military units from operational locations in Stockholm, Solna, and Kungsängen.

The unit currently consists of a Staff, a Technical Department, a Supply Department in Stockholm, a Supply Department in Kungsängen, and a Mobilization Department. The Logistics Unit contributes to a stronger defense force through well-functioning logistics, unit-close storage management, supply provision, and ordering of material maintenance in peace, during readiness increases, and in war. The Armed Forces, and in particular the Logistics Unit Stockholm, are experiencing growth in several different areas.

As an employee of the Armed Forces, we offer:

  • Three hours of physical training per week during working hours
  • 28-35 vacation days/year depending on age

Main tasks

Daily tasks at a goods reception and storage.

  • Receive goods, record and store them, issue supplies
  • Carry out transport of goods
  • Basic sewing services on uniforms
  • Implement measures on supplies according to applicable instructions
  • Report supplies in the Armed Forces' accounting system
  • Some maintenance of vehicles and handling equipment
  • Maintain contact with customers
  • Fitting of uniforms
  • Handling and packaging of materials

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Approved upper secondary education
  • Driving license B (manual)
  • Several years of work experience
  • Very good experience working in digital environments
  • Experience handling the Armed Forces' accounting system Lift/Prio.
  • Forklift license

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, and has a sense of service. Meeting new people should be a given, and you can express yourself well in both speech and writing. You will work in a team, so we prefer that you can collaborate well with others and have good camaraderie, but also be able to work independently and take your own initiatives and responsibilities. As a person, you are stress-resistant, flexible, meticulous, and loyal. Personal qualities will be given great importance in the selection process.

As there are horses and dogs on the premises, it is preferable that you do not have allergies.

Desirable

  • Knowledgeable in sewing
  • Experience working in a clothing store
  • Good experience handling inventory balances and warehouse structures

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Life Guards is one of the largest units in the Armed Forces with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
