Rederi AB Kind is a small company and on board M/S "Kind" we work as a team. Everyone is needed and everyone helps out. We are looking for you who want to work as a deckhand on the passenger ship Kind. You must be able to start working on May 11th. Previous experience from boats, ships, and maritime life is an advantage and merits. A course in Basic Safety is also required. Mechanical knowledge and interest in machines/engines are valuable. The job requires agility and good physical condition. You will work and meet our guests on board, so you must enjoy meeting people. We are looking for a deckhand for M/S Kind, directly reporting to the ship's captain. It is an advantage if you have previous experience and especially an interest in boats and shipping as well as training in Basic Safety. M/S Kind operates on the Kinda Canal. Your tasks will include assisting the captain during arrivals and departures, from and to port, as well as locking ashore. The locks are manually operated. You must enjoy being outdoors and be agile and able to move easily. On board, we work as a team and help each other with everything that needs to be done, even if it may fall outside the main job area. You must be flexible in all different situations that may arise.
