Jokkmokk Parish is seeking two Church/Cemetery Caretakers: one for Jokkmokk and one for Vuollerim during the period of May 18 – September 30.

Your tasks will include all maintenance and care work on the cemetery and the parish buildings, such as grave care, lawn mowing, weed removal, property maintenance, etc.

As the work for this position is physically demanding, good physical condition is a requirement. The tasks are performed outdoors in all weather. You will work both in a team and independently. You enjoy making things look nice and providing good service.

About Jokkmokk Parish

Jokkmokk Parish is large in area with a population of 4,800 people. The central location has most of the community and service functions and proximity to nature. Jokkmokk is a Sámi center with primary, secondary, and arts and culture/complementary education with a Sámi focus. This is also reflected in the worship life with services held entirely or partially in Sámi. Our community includes people from many different countries, and this fact also shapes the parish's activities. Jokkmokk Parish holds services in 9 churches and 5 church tents, and children's activities are conducted at 3 locations. The work team consists of about 18 people, including three priests.
