Staff Member for Cleaning Unit

We are now looking for a staff member for the cleaning unit at Örnsköldsvik municipality, located in the Anundsjö area.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00.

Cleaning is an important service profession where we perform practical work to create healthy and pleasant premises for everyone who resides in them.

Job Responsibilities

As a cleaner with us, you will work with your team to plan, implement, and ensure the quality of our premises such as schools, preschools, offices, etc. You will perform cleaning tasks based on a weekly schedule and with the help of cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuum cleaners, and scrubbing machines. Together with your colleagues, you will collaborate to maintain regular floor care, and the work is carried out both independently and in groups using environmentally friendly and modern cleaning methods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education and previous experience in cleaning is considered an advantage. You need to have basic computer skills as we report in various systems.

As a person, you are flexible, service-oriented, and customer-focused, and you thrive in new environments. You are good at working independently and have the ability to plan your work effectively. You have a good sense of responsibility and teamwork skills, are relationship-building and solution-focused, and value thorough work.

The job requires that you can speak, read, and understand Swedish to use our instructions, schedules, and safety data sheets, as well as to communicate with customers and colleagues in Swedish.

The work is performed in premises where there is full activity, which means that the work environment can sometimes be very noisy. To handle the workload, you need to have good physical fitness, as cleaning involves a lot of movement and physical work.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) and access to a personal vehicle are required.

During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Tax Agency, or another ID document that confirms citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record is required.

We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik municipality is part of both Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, several positions are placed in security class, so a security check may be conducted. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
