Specialist Nursing Assistant with a Focus on Dementia at Ginstgården

We are now looking for a specialist nursing assistant focused on dementia. Ginstgården is operated by Bräcke diakoni, a non-profit organization that works for a more humane society. Your Role

As a specialist nursing assistant, you work closely with the residents and contribute with in-depth competence in dementia care. You are a secure person in the daily lives of the residents while supporting the team in approach, methods, and development in the field of dementia.

Your role includes, among other things:

• providing support to residents in their daily lives and strengthening their own abilities
• actively working with BPSD and Senior Alert
• contributing to person-centered and qualitative dementia care
• participating in and initiating activities that create meaning in everyday life
• sharing your knowledge and mentoring colleagues as needed
• performing delegated health and medical care tasks in consultation with a nurse

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a specialist nursing assistant focused on dementia and who wants to use your competence to create security and quality of life for people living with dementia. You are empathetic, attentive, and have a natural interest in people's life stories and needs. With your specialist competence, you contribute both in daily care work and by sharing knowledge and developing care together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

• Trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title
• Further education as a specialist nursing assistant in dementia
• Experience working with individuals with cognitive diseases / dementia
• Knowledge of BPSD and palliative care
• Knowledge of or training in BPSD and palliative care
• Communicates well in Swedish, both spoken and written

Experience in mentoring colleagues and working with quality registers and digital tools is meritorious.
