RESPONSIBILITIES

As a building permit officer with us, you will play an important role in the municipality's community building. You will process building permit and notification matters, conduct inspections according to the Planning and Building Act, and also work with exemptions from the shoreline protection and inspections in protected areas. A significant part of the job is also providing advice and service. You will guide citizens, builders, and companies through the regulations and help them navigate the process correctly.

You will actively participate in our quality and development processes, both in your own department and across the entire community building service office. We value initiative; here you will have the opportunity to influence our working methods.

In this role, you will have ongoing contact with builders, consultants, lawyers, authorities, and the public. The work is varied, social, and developmental. As part of the building department, you will work closely with urban planners, environmental inspectors, and other colleagues within the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory Requirements

• You hold a degree as a civil engineer, architect, or other equivalent education
• You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• You have good knowledge of the Swedish language

Meritorious

• You have experience working as a building permit officer
• You have good knowledge of accessibility requirements according to PBL and hold certification in accessibility (TIL)
• You have experience in assessing natural values and good knowledge of relevant parts of the Environmental Code
• You have experience in geotechnical assessments and landslide and avalanche risks
• You have knowledge of stormwater management and can assess solutions with regard to sustainability and climate adaptation
• You have education in architecture and experience in assessing the cultural values of buildings
