About us

Regionsjukhuset Karsudden in Katrineholm is one of Sweden's largest forensic psychiatric hospitals with 155 care places. Here, most patients are treated according to the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The goal is to improve individual patients' mental health to manage a life in society while considering community protection by preventing recidivism. Your tasks

As a cleaner at Regionsjukhuset Karsudden, you work to ensure good and safe cleanliness in our premises, which is a central part of preventing the spread of infection. We create a safe environment for everyone who is at the hospital. The work involves daily cleaning of the hospital, including stairs, corridors, changing rooms, and office rooms.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• performing cleaning in all areas of the operation, including the hospital's emergency apartment
• carrying out sanitation, deep cleaning, and window cleaning
• responsible for washing the unit's cleaning materials and, if necessary, washing chain covers
• taking care of plants in common areas as well as simple administration and work in our staff residence Gläntan
• ensuring that hygiene, environmental, and safety requirements are followed in daily work
• handling transportation within the hospital area, such as accompanying visitors, transporting materials, or picking up and delivering laundry between the clothing storage and goods reception
• assisting in the kiosk and kitchen

In the Internal Services unit, there is a close-knit team that collaborates daily. To thrive in the role of cleaner, you should also be able to perform other service tasks as needed.

We offer an onboarding at Internal Services and three full-day introductions in our training facility on the hospital grounds. During these days, you will receive the basic knowledge you need from various professions to do a good job in the role of cleaner.

Your qualifications

To work in the role of cleaner, we see that you are a person who is proactive, service-oriented, responsible, flexible, cooperative, and meticulous. We also see that you contribute to a positive work environment. You have a good ability to work independently, are quality- and safety-conscious, and accommodating in your interactions with colleagues and patients. It is important that you are professional in meeting other people as the role requires it when you meet and integrate with many different professions and patients. You have an interest, a willingness, and the ability to help others and strive to deliver in your work. You are meticulous in your work from both a hygienic and environmental perspective. Since the work can vary according to needs, it is also important that you are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances.

We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent. Since the work largely involves communication and collaboration, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You need to be 18 years or older and have good physical condition as the work is physical. We see that you have work experience in cleaning, which is a requirement for the position. Training in cleaning is an advantage.

We also place great importance on personal qualities.

Employment form

Permanent employment at 100% with a start as soon as possible or by agreement. Work takes place during the day, Monday - Friday.
