Your new workplace

Heffnersgården elderly care home is located in the Skönsberg district and consists of five departments focused on dementia care.

The goal of the operation is to provide good and quality-assured care based on individual needs and built on the national value foundation.

Working hours are scheduled for day and evening (weekdays and weekends).

Your contribution as a nursing assistant

As a nursing assistant, your tasks include providing high-quality care to our clients based on individual needs. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others in the team. We work in teams that include care staff, nurses, and rehabilitation personnel.

Tasks include:

• Providing care and service to residents with high quality.
• Establishing and following up on implementation plans in close communication with the care recipient.
• Documentation according to SoL and HSL.
• Risk assessments regarding the care recipient and the work environment.
• Supervision (e.g., new employees and students).
• Development of the operation and your own working methods.
• Performing delegated tasks according to HSL.
• Acting as a representative based on needs.
• Performing laundry and cleaning.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in working with people and a desire to help others.
• Has education as a nursing assistant with approved grades.
• Has good computer skills.
• Must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, at a level that allows you to communicate confidently as well as read, understand, process, and convey information. This corresponds to at least a passing grade in Swedish or Swedish as a second language at the upper secondary level.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have completed online courses in Dementia ABC, ABC plus, and zero vision.
• Have experience in a caring profession.
• Have experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Are a specialist nursing assistant in dementia.

As a person, you are focused on the needs of the residents and are attentive to their wishes. You are service-oriented, calm, and able to handle stressful situations in a controlled manner. Your verbal skills are good, and in communication with individuals with cognitive impairments, you can express yourself briefly, calmly, and clearly when various situations arise, ensuring a good response.

You have good collaboration skills and are flexible, able to quickly adapt to new conditions and prioritize your tasks. You take responsibility for your tasks, are independent, and strive to find solutions.

About the recruitment process

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected occupational title. This means that a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to hold the title of nursing assistant. You can apply for the certificate on the National Board of Health and Welfare's website. If you have completed care and nursing education according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations but have not yet received your professional certificate, you can instead be employed with the title of trained care assistant.
