As a software developer at Saab Dynamics, Missile Systems, you will have a unique opportunity to become a key player in the development of advanced missile systems and Mission Planning solutions. You will work in an engaged and agile team on the further development of an already world-leading long-range missile system, where your contributions have a direct impact on both technical development and the project's success.

A central part of the role is working on Mission Planning for Taurus, which represents the cutting edge in precision and range for air-to-ground missiles.

The planning system is facing extensive upgrades where both performance and autonomy need to be significantly enhanced. The system must be able to handle much larger data volumes and more complex data processing, while maintaining very high demands on performance and accuracy. The project thus places great demands on modular design, technical innovation, and precision – making the work both complex, stimulating, and developmental.

Through close collaboration with experienced colleagues, you are expected to contribute to the team with your skills and experience, but you will also receive support and the opportunity to learn and grow into your role. You will be involved throughout the entire development cycle and be able to engage in various parts of the process, including system work, requirements management, design, testing/verification, troubleshooting, and delivery. You will also have the opportunity to try different roles within the customer's agile methodology and development process. Together, you will be responsible for the software at various levels, from hardware-near to application and user interface.

The position is located in Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and software who enjoys working in teams. You are driven by problem-solving and motivated to develop efficient, sustainable, and well-structured solutions in technically demanding environments.

To succeed in this role, you have several years of experience in software development and feel confident in both design work and software architecture. You have in-depth knowledge of C and C++ as well as experience in software testing and quality assurance in these languages. You are used to working in agile teams and appreciate collaboration, continuous development, and knowledge sharing. Experience with Ada and/or CUDA is highly meritorious and seen as a significant plus in this role.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.​​
