Your Summer Job

As a physiotherapist/rehabilitation assistant within municipal health and medical care, you will work with home rehabilitation and support patients in their return home after hospitalization. Your work is performed in the patient's home - it can be in a nursing home, group home, service housing, short-term unit, or private residence.

You will meet patients of different ages with varying care needs. Your efforts will therefore always be based on each individual's abilities and resources, with the goal of promoting participation, independence, and health.

In your daily work, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues from other professional fields, such as nurses, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, and occupational therapists.

Main Responsibilities as a Physiotherapist:

• Assess the patient's functional ability and rehabilitation needs, individually or together with an occupational therapist colleague
• Implement and follow up on treatments
• Investigate and trial technical aids
• Design and implement individual training programs
• Guide and educate relatives and care staff on how they can support the patient's training
• Documentation in the operational system Combine
• Other tasks may also occur

Main Responsibilities as a Rehabilitation Assistant:

• Conduct treatments
• Distribute and manage technical aids
• Implement training programs to enhance function and ability in a given situation

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist, or you who will graduate as a physiotherapist in the summer of 2026. You may also be eligible for the position of rehabilitation assistant if you have completed at least four semesters of the physiotherapy program or have another relevant further education in rehabilitation and health. Previous experience in care and nursing is an advantage.

A valid driver's license is required, as a car is used in the job. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.

As a person, you have a positive attitude and a genuine interest in people. To thrive here, we believe you enjoy a varied workday and are skilled at planning and structuring your work effectively. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, while also having good collaboration skills and appreciating working in a team.

Your Future Workplace

The health and medical care function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team. Together, we work with planned and acute health and medical care interventions at home, as well as rehabilitation, habilitation, and palliative care, and with assessing and meeting the need for aids at home. Your workday begins and is based in a team location based on the team's geographical placement.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns summer positions during the vacation period from June to August 2026. For those who show promise, there may also be an opportunity for continued employment. Your working hours are primarily scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
