The Role of Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant/Support Worker

Your work includes planning and carrying out basic psychiatric care and observation work. You participate in meetings and conversations concerning the patient and report on patient observations during rounds. Your task will be to meet the patients' personal needs with function-adapted and low-arousal responses. Utilize the individual's own resources to maintain and regain optimal health. Motivate, inform, and support the patient during their care period. We work with a contact person model, which also includes maintaining contact with the patient's relatives, caregivers, and partners.

Your Future Workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a regional clinic that has a common unit, One Path In (EVI), for telephone advice and triage to child and adolescent health as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic has three outpatient clinics: in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. These provide specialized care to children and young people with mental health issues in 13 municipalities. The clinic also has a common care ward located in Jönköping, which provides round-the-clock care, as well as an anorexia unit for outpatient and day care.

In total, the regional clinic currently has about 150 employees in various professions. Together, we meet children and young people aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, support worker, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed your third semester, but individual assessments can be made earlier.

To have the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work period 1 - week 26-29 and/or period 2 week 30-33 during the summer. Introduction will take place outside of these weeks.
