The Maintenance Unit is part of the Water and Waste department.
The Water and Waste department works with the development, renewal, and operation of our facilities such as water sources, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pipeline networks, landfills, and recycling centers. The department works to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply for our subscribers and contributes to Gotland's sustainable development through good planning, prioritization, and engaged employees with significant personal responsibility, within the framework of a good working environment.
Within the organization, there is long and solid experience, and you will always have the support of the entire Water and Waste department. The department consists of about 130 employees who look forward to welcoming you.
The Maintenance Unit consists of five groups with team leaders, totaling about 30 employees who work with construction, new production, and maintenance. In our organization, we have both long and solid experience, and you will never be alone in your job but will always have the support of the entire Water team.
Your Responsibilities
You will work with new construction and maintenance work on the pipeline network; this position is currently based in Hemse, covering all of Gotland as your work area.
As an installer with us, you will perform excavation and pipe-laying work in the water and sewage network. Our unit comprises three installation teams: north, south, and investigation, which together cover the island with broad expertise. Your responsibilities include leading and driving certain pipeline works with the help of external contractors, with the team leader's support.
On-call duty may be included in your assignment, but with a BE driver's license requirement.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with good experience in construction work. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position. It is advantageous if you also have BE and C driver's licenses, forklift/loader experience, and professional certificates/permits for excavators.
We prefer that you have several years of experience in the field, preferably in construction and construction work. You are self-sufficient, proactive, and have good collaboration skills. You make wise decisions even under pressure and work systematically to achieve set goals.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
