About the workplace

The Urban Environment Department is one of the six departments of the Environmental and Building Permit Administration in Huddinge municipality. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's public environments, such as roads, squares, parks, and swimming areas. Our office is located in Flemingsberg in new and fresh premises, with good communication via both public transport and regional trains.

About the position

We are looking for several supervisors for a fixed-term employment during the summer of 2026 (June 8–August 21, 2026). The work mainly takes place outdoors in the Huddinge area, starting from Flemingsberg.

Job responsibilities

Your main tasks will be to supervise and coordinate summer-working high school students. The role includes:

• together with the summer interns perform tasks that mainly consist of maintenance and simpler upkeep of parks, playgrounds, swimming areas, and other public places as needed
• plan and follow up on the daily work together with other supervisors
• ensure that the tasks are carried out
• provide the summer interns with a clear introduction so that they understand the working methods, routines, and the importance of taking care of Huddinge municipality's local environments.

The tasks may be adjusted based on the needs of the organization during the period, but primarily lie within the maintenance and upkeep of the municipality's outdoor environments.

Your profile

Requirements

• Driver's license B.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or other education that the employer considers relevant.

Meritorious

• Experience in the field of parks/gardens (e.g., maintenance and upkeep of outdoor environments).
• Experience as a leisure leader or similar work with youth.

Personal qualities

To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy supervising and inspiring young people who have limited work experience. You are meticulous, responsible, and have the ability to see what needs to be done. The work is varied and requires you to be flexible and have good collaboration skills. You have a professional demeanor towards both the public and colleagues.
