At the Orthopedic Clinic in Gällivare, we have three permanent senior physicians working alongside recurring locums who are well-known at the clinic and hospital. We work with both planned orthopedic procedures such as hip and knee replacements, as well as all forms of acute orthopedics. Here, you will work across the full spectrum of orthopedics.

We are looking for

We are looking for someone with a medical degree or at least nine completed semesters of medical studies, as well as proficiency in the Swedish language at level C1. Experience working with Cosmic, knowledge of other languages, and experience working at Gällivare Hospital or other hospitals are advantageous.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. You are independent, have the courage to act on your own convictions, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You have good collaboration skills as you appreciate and see the benefits of working with others.

What you will work with

With us, you will work both with departmental tasks in the orthopedic department and with outpatient work with simpler orthopedic patients. You will also assist in surgeries for hip and knee replacements as well as fracture surgery.

Information about the position

The position is a full-time locum from August 24, 2026, to December 30, 2026. Start date is August 24, 2026. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
