Description

The Production and Service Office constitutes a unit within the Service Administration.

The operations are funded through sales to various administrations and companies within Trollhättan City. With approximately 80 employees, we provide services such as land contracting, green space maintenance, road maintenance, vehicle and workshop mechanical work, transport, and storage services. The operations also include property management and property services.

We are now looking for someone who wants to help maintain our roads and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to adjust gravel, set stones, and lay slabs in preparation for asphalting. You will be part of a work team with an excavator and drive an assigned truck for material transport.

During the winter months, you will operate excavation and participate in winter road maintenance with plowing, salting, and standby duties.

Qualifications

You should have completed Construction and Civil Engineering at the high school level or equivalent and/or verified work experience. Experience in asphalting or adjustments is highly meritorious. You should have computer skills to manage task descriptions and time reporting. Basic knowledge of reading blueprints is a requirement.

To succeed in this role, you need to:

  • Have experience in gravel adjustment for pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as larger areas
  • Be able to lay the correct slope and inclinations using a leveling board, laser, z-fix, or similar tools
  • Have a good understanding of asphalt and its requirements and properties
  • Be able to set curbs in concrete or gravel
  • Be able to set large/small stones
  • Have good physical health
  • Have experience driving trucks/excavation trucks in contracting
  • Have previous experience in snow removal and ice control with trucks
  • Be accustomed to standby and shift work during the winter months
  • Hold a C driver's license
  • Hold a training certificate for YKB

As a person, you are service-oriented, flexible, and have good collaboration skills. You are driven, structured, and enjoy working together with others. Good physical condition is a prerequisite for handling the job as heavy lifting and construction work are involved.

Employment Information

Full-time position, 6-month probationary period, start as soon as possible. Health tests may be applied.
