Operations, Street & Park is part of the Technical and Service Office in Strängnäs Municipality and takes care of the green public space. We value and are passionate about the green and sustainable. We primarily work with the operation and maintenance/care of the municipality's public areas such as streets, squares, grass areas, plantings, playgrounds, and forests, etc. We also ensure that waste management and winter road maintenance function properly. Staff are located in Strängnäs, Mariefred, Åkers Styckebruk, and Stallarholmen.

We at Operations, Street & Park are a cheerful team who enjoy beautifying the outdoor environment, and we are now looking for you who want to work with us! We have the following needs:

• one person who will be responsible for emptying trash bins and picking up litter around the municipality. Start as soon as possible.
• three summer workers who can work from June to mid-August.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks will vary within park maintenance in a public environment. This means that you, together with your colleagues, will take care of the municipality's green areas and primarily maintain park environments regarding weeding, watering, emptying trash bins, and picking up litter, etc.

You should appreciate being outdoors in various weather conditions and enjoy beautifying our green environments. The work can sometimes be physically demanding, which requires good physical condition; the work is also varied and diverse. Since the work takes place in a public environment, you will also meet, converse with, and answer questions from our residents daily.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• A valid driver's license (B).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience in similar work.
• Gardening education.
• Experience driving a tractor and/or implement carrier.

It is important for us that you are available for work throughout the entire summer period. Our working hours are Monday-Thursday from 06:30 to 16:00 and Fridays from 06:30 to 13:00.

Your personal qualities are important to us! We are looking for someone who is passionate about the green environment with a willingness to learn new things. You are engaged and responsible with a positive attitude. You find it easy to collaborate and contribute to a good working climate, but you can also work independently. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and not afraid to pitch in where needed.
