Håstensskolan is currently a school for grades 6-9 but will in the future become a K-9 school. The school is located in Varberg's urban area and in a location close to the municipality's large sports facilities and a newly built recreation center. Currently, we are a school with about 430 students.

From the autumn term of 2025, Håstensskolan will move into a completely new school building, which is a significant upgrade for students, teachers, and other staff. The new school is built as a K-9 school, as well as for adapted primary school. This autumn, we will have about 720 students in grades 2-9, as well as about 90 students within the framework of adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school nurse, you will follow Varberg Municipality's basic program for the medical services of student health, which includes health conversations, vaccinations, open reception, and participating in the school's student health team.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• You work to ensure that students have the best possible development by creating environments that promote students' learning, development, and health.
• You support the student's development towards the school's goals, initiating preventive and health-promoting measures at both individual and group levels.
• You work closely with students, guardians, teachers, and school management. Collaboration with external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) and pediatric medicine is also part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse.

• You are comfortable collaborating, can work independently, and take initiative.
• You are driven and engaged in your work, creating good relationships and instilling trust.
• Good computer skills are an advantage as all documentation is done in the Prorenata journal system.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Experience working with children and adolescents is an advantage.
