Business Description

The Department of Care and Support operates care homes for elderly individuals with extensive care needs according to the Social Services Act (SoL). We offer safe, individualized, and dignified housing with access to care and supervision around the clock. The work is based on the individual’s needs, wishes, and self-determination. Through a person-centered approach, we ensure that each resident receives an individual implementation plan. The operation systematically works with quality, documentation, and follow-up in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations. The department consists of five units: Enen, Forsgläntan, Älvgården, Dementia, and Short-term Care. Älvgården is a special accommodation for the elderly located at Gällivare Hospital, close to scenic surroundings and the local heritage area. Älvgården plan 7, unit Sjöfallet has 15 accommodation places. Unit Ritsem has 19 accommodation places.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you will act as a contact person and be responsible for ensuring that the user has a good quality of life by meeting individual needs based on the implementation plans established and the operation's guidelines and objectives. You will provide support in the daily life of the user and assist with what the person needs help with, such as medication, hygiene, dressing/undressing, and social interaction. The role of nursing assistant or care assistant also includes some administrative tasks such as documentation.

Qualifications

Three-year nursing program, nursing assistant education, other education deemed equivalent, or work experience in the field. We are looking for someone who is responsible and has an easy time collaborating, you have knowledge in the area, are positive, and have a great interest and commitment that you can easily translate into practical actions in the unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent employment. A probationary period may apply. Employment rate 100%, day/evening/weekend.
