Your Role

As a plate operator, your main tasks will involve sheet metal work, rolling, and bending for tasks related to the reconstruction, extension, repair, and maintenance of vessels. We expect that you, as an applicant for the position of plate operator, have previous experience in the profession. As a plate operator with us, it is important that you are meticulous and driven by a desire to develop. To succeed as a plate operator with us, we see that you are collaborative, solution-oriented, precise, and humble.

Your Profile

Requirements

• Experience in rolling and sheet metal work with thicker plates.
• Good knowledge of material properties, measurement techniques, and reading blueprints.
• Industrial technical high school or relevant experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with overhead cranes, forklifts, and mobile platforms.
• Education or experience in shipbuilding is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may, in some cases, be requirements for certain citizenship.
