The Role of the Nurse

As a nurse, you will meet patients with child and adolescent psychiatric conditions and disabilities. You will contribute from your profession to the team's work with the target group. The team includes, in addition to nurses; nursing assistants, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. Together, you will work based on the child's needs and see the child as part of their context.

Your tasks include outpatient visits for medication and well-being follow-ups, psychoeducational interventions, and basic treatment for eating disorders and anxiety. Depending on your education and experience, conversation therapy according to a specific method may also be part of your tasks.

Your tasks also include collaboration with other healthcare providers, organizations, and authorities that are part of the child's daily life and resources. As a nurse, you will also be responsible for the clinic's telephone advice and emergency line. Our clinic offers good opportunities for you to be involved in the development work of the organization.

The position is permanent and full-time with a start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30.

Your Future Workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a regional clinic that has a common unit, One Path In (EVI), for telephone advice and triage to child and adolescent health and child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic has three outpatient clinics: in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. These provide specialized care for children and young people with mental health issues in 13 municipalities. The clinic also has a shared care unit located in Jönköping that provides round-the-clock care, as well as an anorexia unit for outpatient and day care.

Today, we have about 140 employees in various professions who meet children and young people aged 0-17 and their guardians in our work. We work interdisciplinary in multiprofessional teams.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a few years of experience in the profession. Further education to a specialist nurse in psychiatric care or in child and adolescent care is an advantage. We also prefer that you have experience working with children and young people or in psychiatric care.

We believe you are a person who easily builds good relationships with patients and colleagues. We also believe it is important that you can adapt to changing circumstances, as we are a clinic with both planned and acute work. Furthermore, we believe that security, stability, and calmness are good qualities to meet people in various life situations.
