We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager for an authority within traffic.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The role of Assistant Project Manager for the Signal Project involves, together with the project manager, being responsible for the management, coordination, and implementation of the signaling system on the Kista branch and related rail sections. The person ensures that the project follows internal procedures, laws, and safety regulations, maintains the schedule and resources, and is responsible for technical deliveries, procurements, and reporting to program management. The role also includes acting as a substitute for the project manager in their absence and being able to independently take over responsibility for sub-projects.

Responsibilities

Manage the project according to procedures, project methodology, and applicable laws/safety regulations.

Be responsible for the project's deliveries to TG5 and maintain WBS, schedule, and sub-project interfaces including commissioning.

Ensure resources and organization as well as overall coordination between sub-projects and parallel projects.

Follow up on TKI, compile actions for deviations, and make decisions within the project's mandate.

Report to program management and sponsor.

Drive procurements including strategy, market analysis, tender documents, market dialogues, and economic/legal reviews.

Ensure content and quality in technical documents.

Act as a substitute for the project manager and independently lead sub-projects during the project's duration.

Possibly transition to the project manager role.

Presence in the office during the first 4–6 weeks for training and handover.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field for the role. Relevant fields include, for example, Railway Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Technical Physics.

Completed training in Swedish construction and civil engineering industry standard tools ABxx and ABTxx, as well as at least 1 documented experience of leading the work to establish AMA, AMA-AF, ABxx and/or ABTxx.

At least 5 years of documented experience as a project manager or sub-project manager in projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders, complex contracts, and at least one with a budget ≥ 10 million SEK and at least 1 project where the main client/supplier is foreign.

Approved result on project management training (minimum 32 hours).

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable

At least 2 years of documented experience of having been responsible for and led projects/sub-projects for design, installation, and commissioning of signaling systems for trams and/or railways.

At least 2 years of documented experience of having been responsible for and led projects with safety requirements within tram and/or railway signaling.

At least 2 years of documented experience of having actively worked with the development and/or implementation of the Softprio system developed by the Traffic Office of Gothenburg City.

At least 2 years of documented experience of having been responsible for and led projects for installations on or construction of tram and/or railway vehicles.
