Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for paving workers for the Industrial division and our laying operations based in Södertälje. At Svevia, we combine the sense of community and teamwork of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a paving worker

As a paving worker with us, you will be involved in both larger and smaller paving assignments. Since the size and nature of the assignments vary, the tasks are diverse and provide opportunities for development within the profession. You will belong to a work team where you collectively perform paving work according to given orders and existing regulations. You are responsible for ensuring that vehicles and technical equipment are maintained and in good condition, handling materials, measuring equipment, and other technical tools so that the final product meets the customer's quality requirements.

We primarily perform paving work in Södertälje and surrounding areas, and you will start from home. Working hours are generally scheduled from Sunday to Thursday at different locations along Sweden's roads. Some of the work is performed during inconvenient hours.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in paving work and who enjoys working on the road. A BE driver's license is a requirement when you work with us. You also need to be familiar with a digital working method; having APV is an advantage.

To succeed in the role of paving worker, you need to be a team player who shows respect, supports, and cares for your colleagues. We see the work team as central to achieving success and delivering results, so your ability to collaborate is extremely important. You have the customer's wishes in focus and work methodically to ensure our product maintains high and consistent quality. You simply enjoy delivering world-class results!

At Svevia, safety is a top priority. We aim to have the safest workplaces and the most secure traffic environments in the industry. This means you need to follow the statutory requirements, regulations, and safety guidelines that come with the role. Additionally, you arrive on time and keep your promises.

You enjoy collaborating to achieve the best results and have good social skills that contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting for skilled workers and have agreements on annual working hours. This means you primarily work during our season, April-December, and are off during January-March, provided you have met your annual working hours during the season.

Part of something bigger

Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.

Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.

Everything starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 of our own quarries, our own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we strive to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of reinforcement bars and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your expertise in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position.

Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?

Application and information

You can easily apply by submitting your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting quality securely, inclusively, and without prejudice. Therefore, we do not want a personal letter. When you make your application, you will be asked to answer a number of questions about your interest in Svevia and your experience related to the role.

Submit your application by March 13th. Selection is ongoing, so do not hesitate with your application. The position may be filled before the application deadline.

If you have questions about the position, please contact Project Manager Philip Öberg at [email protected]. For questions regarding the process, you can also contact Talent Acquisition Partner Elna Sandberg at [email protected]. We have made a decision regarding advertising, which means we do not wish to receive sales calls for further questions regarding advertising, recruitment, or staffing.
