Mora is a town close to nature and mountains that invites outdoor activities and an active leisure year-round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute hospitals. The catchment area has about 80,000 inhabitants, but outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre as well as large sports events both summer and winter create significant tourist flows. At Mora Hospital, you will find the comfort of a small hospital while it also serves as a trauma hospital. The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Operation (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), and Sterile Technology. About 1,500 patients are cared for in the ICU each year, of which about 500 are ICU patients. At C-op and DKM, a total of about 4,500-5,000 operations are performed each year, mainly surgery and orthopedics, but also some urology. Sterile Technology handles goods from the operating departments, care departments, and outpatient clinics at the hospital as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We have close cooperation with other clinics and also assist with external assignments at the hospital, such as anesthesia/sedation in outpatient clinics, alarm teams, and higher competence in secondary transport to another hospital.

At Central Operation, we primarily conduct elective activities in our five operating rooms during the day, in addition to emergency operations with an operating team available 24/7, all year round. Nursing Assistant for Central Operation Mora

As a nursing assistant in the central operation, you will work closely with the surgical nurse and anesthetic nurse in the perioperative care of the patient. Together with the surgical nurse, you are responsible for systematically planning and organizing the work in connection with surgical procedures, ensuring that hygienic and aseptic principles are met and preventing the spread of infection.

As the operation looks today, you will have the opportunity to work daytime Monday to Friday, and in the long run, rotation shifts with day/night/weekend may become relevant. At our central operation, we have fixed schedule planning. Daytime Monday to Friday means a 40-hour work week. On-call means three shifts Monday to Friday, two shifts on weekends, and we have active night working hours. Region Dalarna offers a generous wellness allowance.

Our requirements are that you:

• are a trained nursing assistant and hold a protected professional title, with a degree from the care and nursing program or the vocational package in care and nursing from adult education.
• have several years of experience from ward or outpatient work within hospital care.
• can present a diploma from the Care and Nursing College.

It is meritorious if you have:

• previous experience of working in the operating department, emergency department, or intensive care.

We are looking for someone who is positive and meticulous, has a patient-focused approach, and a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. You should also be able to express yourself easily in Swedish, both spoken and written, and be able to work in a digital medical record management system. Your multitasking ability and stress tolerance are good, and you have the ability to keep many balls in the air. We also see that you have good collaboration skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good working environment. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and previous references.
