The Ambulance Service Dalarna is a county clinic with 11 ambulance stations from Särna in the north to Avesta in the south. Nurse Day/Night (2 long-term vacancies) for the Ambulance in Sälen

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care, encountering patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You will assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient interactions. You will work both independently and as part of a team where collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for the best possible care of the sick and injured. You will operate according to the applicable treatment guidelines for the Ambulance Service Dalarna.

At our station in Sälen, we are expecting an increase in staff and therefore need to recruit those who want to work in an exciting environment.

Two maternity leave vacancies are hereby announced, and we will need to recruit continuously to strengthen our excellent team.

During the winter season, the station is reinforced to meet the needs of the significantly increased population. This includes medical interventions during major events, such as the Vasaloppet, as well as handling winter sports-related accidents. At the same time, we ensure continued good access to ambulance care for the regular local population. During the off-season, the work is characterized by service in a fantastic nature, where independent work and a clear solution focus are particularly important qualities.

We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves shifts during the day, night, and weekends.

Requirements:

- Licensed nurse

- Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care (not required for temporary positions)

If you do not have specialist training in ambulance care when you apply to us, you must undergo training within an agreed timeframe. Some support for attending the training is provided by the employer.

- You must be approved according to the Ambulance Service Dalarna's guidelines regarding employment tests and introductory training.

- Swimming ability 200 m, certification required

If you do not have the required qualifications when you apply to us, you must begin obtaining a C1 driver's license within an agreed timeframe. The employer covers health examinations and driving school costs.

Meritorious:

- Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care

- Previous experience in ambulance care

- Prio1 qualification

- PS/PHTLS/AMLS training

- Driver's license with the ability to operate a passenger vehicle with a total weight over 3.5 tons.

You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good work environment.
