Focusing on Tactical Coordination and Operational Maintenance in Daily Operations

Do you want a facility-close role where you combine practical maintenance with planning, coordination, and follow-up? We are now looking for a maintenance technician for the Pellets Plants (MK3) – a key person who ensures that maintenance plans, inspections, and execution are aligned in daily operations.

The Pellets Plants are characterized by continuous operation, high availability criticality, and technically demanding processes and equipment. This makes the role both important and developmental for those who want to work closely with the facility and contribute directly to high and stable operational reliability.

The Most Important Job of the Future

We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and mineral industry?

Your Role

As a maintenance technician, you work closely with the facility and both internal and external performers. You are responsible for planning and following up maintenance activities to ensure they meet the right quality, and you also participate in troubleshooting and improvement work. Over time, you will build a deep understanding of the facility's function and be an important bearer of practical knowledge within the team.

You and the maintenance engineer complement each other: you secure the day-to-day operations, the engineer secures the direction. There is no strict division, but we envision a distribution of approximately 10% contribution to strategic work, 40% tactical, and 50% operational. You play an important role in contributing facts, observations, and improvement suggestions from daily operations.

Examples of Tasks:

  • Plan and follow up inspections, condition checks, and recurring maintenance actions
  • Work in IFS with work orders, PM/inspections, spare parts lists, and feedback
  • Maintain close dialogue with performers, ensuring the right conditions and quality in execution
  • Monitor online data and condition signals (e.g., vibration and temperature) and initiate actions in case of deviations
  • Support operational maintenance and perform troubleshooting as well as verify actions in the facility
  • Contribute observations, improvement suggestions, and lessons learned to the maintenance engineer

You Bring With You

You are technically curious, structured, and thrive in a daily environment with many contact points. You enjoy making things happen – from planning to execution – and you always work with safety, quality, and availability in focus. The role suits you if you want to combine practical work with computer-based follow-up and coordination.

In addition, you have:

  • Technical education (high school/YH) or equivalent practical experience
  • Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance (bearings, lubrication, rotating equipment)
  • Experience working systematically with work orders, documentation, and follow-up in a computer
  • Driving license B
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

  • Familiarity with the facility and/or experience from the process industry
  • Experience with maintenance systems, preferably IFS
  • Experience with condition monitoring (vibration/temperature) or inspection programs
  • Experience in contractor coordination in an operational environment
